It's Show and Tell time again, ladies and gentlemen! Are you participating?
This is my little brother, Joshua. Isn't he handsome? =) He decided to join the Air Force late last year and left for training on March 3rd, 2008. He started out at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas for his basic training and is now continuing his training at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi.
He chose combat communications as his career, which of course makes me nervous. I told him that when I thought of "combat communications" I envisioned a soldier in the middle of a battle field holding the radio and dodging bullets. He just laughed and reassured me that he would not be in the middle of any combat, but would more than likely be safe on a base somewhere.
Once he's done at Keesler he'll head home for a week, then leave again for Warner Robbins Air Force Base in Georgia. We don't know how long he'll be there. He's been told that he will be going overseas. We're now waiting to find out exactly where overseas that will be. We're praying that he will stay safe in everything that he does. I'm nervous for him every single day.
Here's some more pictures!

Your mom looks so young to have the 3 of you! I thank your brother for his service and wish him safe travels. Thank you for sharing him.
You must be so proud of your brother! One of my little bros just finished a stint as a combat medic in the Army. It was a really scary time for our family, but we were all so proud of him!
My younger brother Josh is in the Air Force also. He flies recon planes now after graduation from USAF and flies out of Qatar several times a year (they have him on a rotating cycle - so many weeks stateside, then so many weeks over there, etc . . ) Your post made me think of him. Thank you for that.
Your Josh and mine are in my thoughts and prayers for much safety.
Please tell your brother that we truly appreciate his service and we're praying for his safe return home.
Oh, and I agree with joanna - your mom looks REALLY young! :)
What a handsome brother you have.
I am grateful to him and others like him for all he's willing to give.
Ditto on your young mom. I thought she was his sister!
My mom has always been mistaken for my sister! She loves it!
And there are technically 4 of us. I have a 4-year-old half sister as well!
Popping by from Mel's Show and Tell.
What skincare line does your mom use? My goodness she's beautiful!
As an army wife who has survived her husbands 4 tours overseas I can tell you the worry is always there but knowing that they are so well trained helps. If you ever want to chat about your feelings feel free to email me. anita(AT)stillwaiting(DOT)ca
